Dr Richard Sazama, urologist, will now see patients in Jefferson as part of Greene County Medical Center’s specialty clinics. Beginning Feb. 19, Sazama will be at the medical center the third Thursday of every month for clinic hours and surgical procedures. Appointments are being accepted now by contacting the medical center’s specialty clinics office at 515-386-2488.
Most common reasons to seek the care of a urologist include recurrent urinary tract infections, kidney stones, overactive bladder, incontinence, enlarged prostate, male and female infertility, vasectomies and abnormal PSA testing.
The medical center’s vice president of medical affairs, Dr Jon Van Der Veer, said, “Bringing in specialists like Sazama, who will provide clinic hours and do surgical procedures at the medical center, is a high priority for us. It allows patients to stay close to home and it utilizes the many other outpatient services we offer such as surgery, lab, and radiology.”
Dr Sazama is affiliated with St. Anthony Regional Hospital Clinic in Carroll.
He earned his undergraduate degree and his doctor of medicine from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He completed his residency internship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
